Network Design

• Deployment of a new data center to support the official US launch of Nexon’s MapleStory online game with over 3 million global registered users, 60K concurrent users and 500 mbps sustained throughput.
• Design new network for California Pizza Kitchen on Cisco Catalyst 4507 and 2621 switches and routers. Implement trunking, InterVLAN routing, DHCP, IP routing. Results included improved security, expanded IP address space, and substantial reduction in Layer 3 broadcast traffic due to segmentation. 

• Manage and implement re-design of enterprise network for Avectra, including upgrade to Cisco ASA firewalls, NAT-based address space, IP subnets, VPN, and 40% reduction of broadcast traffic. 

 Enterprise Network Monitoring

• Plan, install, deploy and support NetIQ AppManager for American Apparel HQ office. NetIQ monitors Microsoft Dynamics AX, Microsoft Exchange 2007/2003, Active Directory, file servers, and SQL Server 2005 for American Apparel retail stores and global offices.
• Deploy first enterprise network and server monitoring system for IHOP Corporate. Using Nagios and Cacti, monitored devices include VMware hosts, Linux application servers, Windows servers, SonicWall firewalls and Cisco switches.
• Build Wells Fargo NetIQ AppManager-based monitoring systems for over 250 NT servers, including server installation, system tuning, administration, and custom VBscripts.
• Manage implementation of CA Unicenter TNG for monitoring 70 servers and six websites for www.nbcolympics.com, Quokka/NBC Sports online coverage of Sydney, Australia 2000 Olympics.
• Establish GFI Network Monitor-based paging alert system for Avectra, improved avg. response time by 300% and false positives by factor of 10.

Virtualization

• Design, plan and implement VMware ESX 3.5 cluster and Dell EqualLogic FS5000 iSCSI SAN for US Department of Agriculture FAS (Foreign Agriculture Service), Dell R900 and PE2950 servers
• Implement virtualization of 200+ production Windows SQL Server and IIS servers to VMware ESX Enterprise 3 with 121% ROI.
